Here are a few links I’ve been wanting to share:
~ The PATH Intl. Conference 2015 Handouts from most of the seminars! Check them out!
~ Here are some great “why’s” regarding safety around horses by Julie Goodnight, Unsafe Mistakes We Make Around Horses.
~ A quick read by The RubberCurryComb called “Remembrance,” on having a wake for a horse that passed away. TR horses touch so many peoples lives. Do you have memorial services for your horses when they pass away?
~ Have you read this article yet, “Your Horse is NOT Your Therapist”? It’s about how in general horses absorb our emotions, and for therapy horses this is especially true and stressful, so we must work extra hard at observing and taking care of them. Make sure to read the comments too, for perspective from all sides.
~ Somewhat related, check out theis comprehensive Powerpoint presentation about How to Prevent Lesson Horse Burnout by Lindsay Alberts of Equicenter.
~ I received a comment on a post from a while ago about leg yields regarding weak side and amputee riders. I’d love some additional thoughts and responses, click here to help me out!
~ In light of amputees, here is an interesting article about rein bars and single upper-limb amputees, and some interesting insight on single lower-limb amputee equitation (scroll down for the comment by Gypsy84 with the picture).
