Birthday Game

And now in a rare cameo appearance…

birthday game

Yesterday was my birthday, and the birthday of one of our clients who had her lesson that night! This called for celebration. What is it they say apparently say in Indiana – treat yo self? So I decided to treat myself and purchased the birthday cake ring toss game.

Inflatable Birthday Cake Ring Toss Game

We did a simple pattern:

1. Weave the cones

2. Ride to the mailbox, get a ring from inside.

3. Ride to the barrel, toss or stretch/place the ring on a birthday cake candle.

4. When all the rings are delivered, sing happy birthday!

Then we had cupcakes!

What fun birthday activities do you do with your riders?

  1. We had a birthday party for one of our horses. We had a birthday hat and birthday sash on the horse. We had Happy Birthday signs. We played party games in arena. Then we had Lacey (horse) bob for apples in a bucket of water. She was such a sport, diving her entire head in the water to get to those apples. The riders loved it. I thought it was a great first class for younger riders who may be apprehensive.

    • I loved your birthday party for the horse activity. I had a Missouri Foxtrotter named Lacey who was donated to a therapy center. She was donated by a lady in Alabama. I just wondered if by some chance of fate it is the same horse. She would have certainly loved bobbing for apples! Lacey would be about 15-20 years old I think. I would have to check her papers to be sure 🙂
