Special Olympics Trail Pattern 1

This was the trail pattern from the Indiana Special Olympics this year. We had fun practicing it with our students so I thought I’d share!

The Key:

  • Orange = walk
  • Green = trot (or they can walk the whole thing)
  • Red X = stop

The Pattern:

  1. Walk and 2 point over the pole between the barrels.
  2. Walk or Trot weaving the 3 cones.
  3. Halt at the mailbox. Retrieve a ring from inside.
  4. Walk to the T pole.
  5. Halt at the T pole. Place the ring on the T pole.
  6. Walk or Trot between the ground poles.
  7. Walk or Trot an S curve
  8. Walk or Trot over the ground poles.
  9. Walk into the ground pole box, circle left over the left pole, re-enter the box, exit the box straight.
  10. Halt between the cones.

Enjoy!

  1. Nice course. I would have liked to see a change of direction on the course. Perhaps a right circle back at the box.
