Want to become a PATH Intl Certified Instructor but don’t have any therapeutic riding barns nearby to get mentored, shadow, and do teaching hours at?
It’s possible! (I just found out, or I would have told you sooner!)
Some PATH Intl Mentors are available to do long distance mentoring over video, phone, etc.. To find someone who would be willing to mentor you long distance, look through the list of Mentors on PATH Intl’s website here – each Mentor’s profile will indicate whether or not they can do long distance mentoring. When you find a few you think might make a good match, contact them to see if they are interested in taking you under their wing, and what that would look like. Each Mentor’s method may be slightly different for long distance, and some may require you have several visits with them in person. Take your time to find the Mentor and program that’s right for you.
Good luck!
Update 2020: Hoof Falls & Footfalls offers long distance mentoring!
