Secret Santa

Here is an idea for your riders for the holidays…

Secret Santa!

Have your riders play Secret Santa with the horses!

One week ask them if they would like to participate in a Secret Santa gift exchange with the horses. If they do, they draw a name from a bucket full of of papers with the horses’ names on them. Whatever horse they draw they must bring a gift for the next week. The horses will also draw names of the riders and get them gifts! (Obviously there are more riders than horses so horses will be picked multiple times). Gifts to horses can be carrots, peppermints, hair bows, etc.

The next week the riders give the horses their gifts. They can give it in person, or be sneaky and deliver the gift to their stall when the horse isn’t looking. Riders will also receive a gift from whichever horse drew them. Gifts to riders can be whatever you want. In the past we’ve done photos of the horses, little toys, pencils, etc.

It’s the same look, apparently.

Have you done Secret Santa at your barn before?

Also, what holiday games have you been playing lately? Send me a description (with pics even better!) and I’ll share it!
