This is a nice cone weaving progression pattern.

Steering progression:

1. Introduce/Review direct rein steering. Teach how  to adjust rein pressure depending on how tight a turn you need.
2. Practice: weave just the wide cones, at the walk, working on direct rein steering
3. Weave the wide cone and the narrow cones
4. Weave the wide, narrow, and zig-zag cones (Note: zig-zag cones add the challenge of turn then straight, turn then straight…)

For an additional challenge add:

• add leg use for bending
• steering in 2 point
• steering at the trot
